As you will have noticed, the tech mine update is taking longer than I expected. Sorry to all those holding out for it! This is partly due to a lack of time (work, family commitments) and partly due to my ambition on new features. Momentum is picking up again and I now expect the release to be late February.
In the meantime, there will be an update in the next few days which adds 4 new missions to the expeditions, along with the usual collection of minor bug fixes etc.

I also wanted to thank you for the work you put into this game. I am so glad that you are not moving down the path of micro-transactions like other developers are. The addition of mission packs is not the same as micro-transactions where people can spend endless amounts of money to play. I have no problem with purchasing mission packs. I would rather do that than have a Gem Miner 3, 4, etc. All in one place feels better to me. Thanks for such a well polished game.

I bought Gem Miner 2 and have run into a problem with not being able to move forward Level 15 Leaky mine, I have completed all the task and it will not let me move forward. I have replayed this level several times, and still have the same results. I love this game, but very disappointed in not being able to move forward.

Hi. I juat gave it a test and could complete it ok. Are you sure you have completed the main objective of pumping water? When the star is very close to complete it can look full. If it’s complete the star should spin. If that’s not the problem, then I’m not sure of the issue, have you tried more than once?

I’m not sure where to put this, but the game doesn’t seem to be saving right on free play. Sometimes I lose money sometimes I lose items (not my rocket lift!! Oh noo!!)

Two problems
1. Medium level 5, Bat cave. I’ve opened all surfaces but can’t fins last Guano
2. Medium level 11. Fire bucket. There are fire, there are water, there no bucket in shop

1. The guano is all in the top half of the mine. 2 to the right of the first ladder, 3 on the second ‘tier’ down (1 on the left, 1 middle and 1 to the right), and 2 on the third tier (middle and left)
2. The bucket is given to you by a fellow miner. Go to the right, down the first lift, then right again to the broken lift. Fix that and go down and in this section you’ll find the miner to give you the bucket.

I’m stuck on hard level 4. He said to bring the fire to the water. I’ve tried catching myself on fire, but it’s put out before I get to the water. I can’t mine the water to the fire because there are rocks. Help!

This image shows you how to complete the level. The fires are the red stars. The blue arrows show you where you need to dig to move water to the fires (or fires to the water in the case of the two ladders at the bottom left)

New Mission Pack is great. Waited for so long but OK in the end. I have a problem though in that on Level 11 Connections I only get two objectives and despite opening up whole mine don’t seem to be able to find anything else to do. It also only shows as one star despite completing two objectives. Any suggestions?

There are two extra objectives. One is revealed when you speak to one of the two miners when you connect the two mines, the other is revealed when you read one of the noticeboards.
The level select screen will only update the number of completed stars once the main objective is complete, or all 3 are complete. This is a bug. In other words, if you complete a secondary objective after the main one, it will only show as one star on the level select screen until you have completed all the objectives.

Hi, can you help me with Level 11 Connections. I need to find Donald, I find box with note saying Donald went to watch lake or something like that (don’t remember that was two weeks ago, suggestion for your future updates, games to gave notes in miners back pack) I find lift going to top but can’t find how to fix it?
